Canada Day Celebrations, Whitmore Style

This is when it all started. We are on our way to fireworks. Curtis is feeling under the weather so he stayed in bed. The kids were so excited to be able to get up during the night. The fireworks were great. Some were so bright that our eyes hurt.
Lined up and ready for the parade. Even Ranger was able to come.

Ranger was not too impressed with the marching band. The loud noises either scared him or hurt his ears. It was very loud but nice to listen to the music.
The horses Ranger wanted to chase. Curtis had the job of holding him back.
The A&W bear. One of our favorite places to go.
A fruit pizza with festive red and white fruit was one of the desserts. We had company over for supper. Both sets of grandparents were here and the kids enjoyed that. On the menu was roast beef done on the rotisserie, ceaser and pasta salad, sunshine carrots, sweet potatoes, baby potatoes with dill and cream, and garlic bread.
It was nice to see the kids playing around and laughing. The happy squeals and laughter is music to my ears.
Russell taking a break. He is very tired and has a few late nights.
Victoria was dozing on and off on Grandma's lap.
The older kids decided to play police and hand out tickets. Then they wanted to be paid as well. A few coins circulated among the adults and we bailed each other out of jail. The kids are now old enough to know about Canada's birthday and all the fun times that come with it. I hope everyone had a day to have some fun and enjoy a day off work.

Where in the world did that necklace on Chloe come from? Thanks for having us over. We had a fun time and it was a welcome ending to a fun day. The growth charts are so adorable! What a great idea and thanks for getting them for the girls.
