This pair of geese were visiting our yard the other day, nibbling on some green grass. Ranger was in the house so they were relaxed.
The kids and I were invited over to our neighbor's house on Friday to watch her have a dressage lesson with her horse Luke. The snow was falling but the temperature was not cold and there was no wind.
I didn't realize there was so much rhythm involved in this sport. I learned a lot.
Luke is showing off with his head tucked in.
Now they are doing figure 8 patters. The sun came out and the rest of the afternoon was pleasant.
Luke is a sensory horse and like to feel things with his mouth. That's why his head was turned. Luke liked the feel of my jacket in his mouth. Such a gently 4 year old boy.
Chloe and Russell were able to ride Luke while he was cooling off.
Can you tell she is in her element and happy?
Russell was excited too. He just shows it in a different way.

Florida Trip
Not all the pictures are in order. That would have taken much longer to sort through them all. Some of these are my mother in laws pictures. This was the dolphin show at Sea World, my favorite place.
It was interesting to look at all the different types of sea life, and touch some sting rays.
The flamingos were beautiful.
Just can't get enough swimming. Russell and Chloe went almost everyday to the pool. Their skills improved 10 fold while we were there. They now have great confidence in the water.
With the weather being hot and humid, it was refreshing to go for a dip as well.
This is the first resort we were at for 4 days.
The place where we stayed for the week. Both places were nice and had a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Every morning, we would go to Grandma's place for breakfast. They had their own suit. It was nice to eat together every morning.
The swamp tour on the air boat was another big highlight. We needed a day to just relax and rest up. So we went for a drive. It was beautiful to get out of the city and see some more of Florida.
Airboats don't need much water to go on.
We all had to wear ear muffs because the fan is really loud.
We did see one alligator.
One of the highlights for Russell and Chloe was these characters.
Epcot was full in bloom.
The children were introduced to musical presentations while there. We saw Finding Nemo and a bear show. They loved it.
Mickey and Minnie all in flowers.
Chloe chatting it up with a princess. Not sure what they were talking about. It was cute.
Yup, that's my family paying attention!
Lightning McQueen
Sharing a plate of funnel cake. It was yummy.
Chloe showing us her moves.
My mister GQ.
In front of the famous castle.
We went on this ride and got soaked. The water came up over the back and just drenched Russell. Fun times.
We stayed for the evening parade at Magic Kingdom. By this time we were all tired, sticky and hot.
In the river where the captain took us, it is fed by a spring. The water was clear and calm. Curtis went for a swim.
Amazing structures built all form Lego. The store was huge. This is where Russell saved his money to spend. The problem was there was sooooo much to choose from he had a hard time making up his mind. Fantastic store.
Epcot Center.
We had a great holiday. The kids are good little travellers. It only showered for a few minutes one morning. It was nice to just put on shorts and t-shirt and head out the door. It was nice to go with my in laws. The adult to kid ratio was 4:2, good odds for us. There was always someone watching the kids.
