Chloe's 5th Birthday

Chloe received a slip 'n slide for her birthday from Uncle Jeff, Auntie Marta, and Sara. With the beautiful weather she has been using it. Russell was at the farm this week and she could not wait for him to get back and play with her. She missed him. Curtis already went to work so I let Chloe have birthday cake for breakfast!
Only our little Tom Boy would like this Thomas cake for her birthday. It was still cute and good.

She had a hard time blowing out the candles.

While we were in town, the rest of the family decorated the house and made a special place for Chloe. She was surprised and did not know she was having a party.

Photo shoot and fun times

Chloe and I went to Dunvegan Gardens on the Peace River today with a friend to pick strawberries. They were very tasty. We only picked a pail and then spent the rest of the time walking around and taking pictures.

This is one of my favorite.

Chloe had lots of fun climbing the trees.

On Sunday, Curtis gave Ranger a bath because we could not stand the way he smelled. Chloe likes to dress Ranger and he is patient and lets her.

My Grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary

I must admitt they look great for 60 years of marriage. It seemed like I was always taking a picture when Grandpa was blinking. We had a beautiful turkey supper that was catered to, so no dishes!! Just their kids, grandkids and great grandkids where there. Even Chad and Zyda made it from Tennessee. Chloe loves the attention she gets from Great Grandma. When we go visit she likes to sit on her knee to cuddle and listen to songs.

All the great grandkids. Left to right is Chloe, Briana, Russell, Isabella, Kirsten and Carson. Janelle is due with their second baby in a few weeks.

Uncle Glen's family. Left to right: Roger, his girlfriend Shannon, Uncle Glen, Chad (Lonita's husband), Lonita is sitting beside Grandma with their baby Carson.

Here is Auntie Linda's family. Left to right: Chad holding Isabella, his wife Zyda, Janelle, her husband Brian and Uncle Terry. Grandma is holding Janelle and Brian's little girl Kirsten and Auntie Linda sitting beside her.

There are some other pictures of my family but my batteries died in the middle of the photo shoot. Maybe Kim will post some of those pictures. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins.

Campmeeting Highlights

We had lots of fun at Campmeeting this year. Even though it was cold and rainy during the week. Any parent that has kids in kindergarten will know that there are always crafts. Russell and Chloe made 1 - 2 crafts per day. One day there was a fun fair which included face painting, mini golf, penny toss, and much more. Russell thinks that face painting is only for girls!

I think horseback riding was the highlight of their week.

Auntie Marta's birthday is usually always during Campmeeting so she usually does not have party. This year we were all together to help her eat the cake!

Grandparents and Husband of the Year Award

Last week Grandma and Grandpa Whitmore came for a visit. We went to the Weich Grandparents for lunch and a little visit. I had my ingrown toenails permanatly removed on my one big toe, so it was nice to have my mother-in-law her to help with the garden and meals. It was nice to hoe in the garden with company, it went alot faster.
I think Curtis should get husband of the year award. Today he rototilled the garden, put up the pea fence (it is sad that the peas have not needed it until now), watered ALL the trees, made supper and is going to do a little maintance on my truck. I am married to a great guy. My garden looks great even though it was touched by frost the other night. The good thing is the potatoes are blooming! I will post more later. I am getting ready to leave for Campmeeting on Friday morning. The kids are very excited. Curtis will stay home for the week and come on the weekend. On July 10 I will be meeting Curtis' sister and her kids in Calgary at Calaway Park for the day. So if any of you are going to be at Campmeeting, stop by the trailer.
